Purpose

I'm writing this blog to document my experiences as a stay-at-home mom with my sweet baby girl, Lennon. This blog is just for me. I would love to be able to look back on our days together, because already time seems to be slipping away and I can't get enough of her.

I'm so blessed to be able to have this opportunity, and I want to take advantage of it to the fullest!

My First Few Days

So, this is my very first week with my baby, and today is Thursday!

I wanted to look back on our first couple of days together.  Technically, I've been at home with her since she was born (except for the week I had to go back to work for insurance purposes), but I'm counting Monday as our first day since that's when the kids went back to school.

I was a Kindergarten teacher for the past 3 years and I LOVED my job.  As a matter of fact, when I started, I had no intention of EVER becoming a mommy.  Having kids just sounded ridiculous to me.  But that changed - and I'm not sure when.

We tried for a year to get pregnant, and we had some obstacles in the way.  We finally found out that we were pregnant, and I was thrilled!  We had lots of problems during the pregnancy, however, as we found out that I had a subchorionic bleed.  That was the scariest thing I've ever gone through in my life!  Each day was like a roller coaster of emotions for me.

But my sweet baby was born on April 12th, 2011.  (She was due April 3, but that's another story!)  She is my whole world and I don't know what I would do without her.

My husband and I made the decision that I would stay home with her and I'm the happiest that I've ever been.

On Monday, we went out as a family and I looked across the street (we live across from where I used to teach) and I saw some of my sweet babies on the playground.  That was a little hard for me, but I gave Lennon a kiss and thanked the Lord again for the opportunity to be home with her.  I am so blessed!
